The Alex Jones Show Joins Independent Talk 1100 KFNX 11/6 Monday - Friday 1 - 3 am

Alex Jones is a talk radio host, actor and filmmaker. His syndicated news/talk show The Alex Jones Show, based in Austin, Texas, airs on over 60 AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations across the United States and on the Internet. His websites include Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com. Mainstream sources have described Jones as a conservative and as a right-wing conspiracy theorist. Jones sees himself as a libertarian, and rejects being described as a right-winger. He has called himself a paleoconservative and an "aggressive constitutionalist". As well, Alex’s show is the largest draw for the talk genre on Shoutcast and the Internet. Alex does a syndicated and nationally broadcast Sunday show on Emmis Communications’ KLBJ 590 AM in Austin, Texas. Jones is recognized for his incisive and hard-hitting interviews with a wide range of guests. Prominent guests include Willie Nelson, Charlie Sheen, Chuck Norris, Jesse Ventura, Ted Nugent, and Lou Dobbs. Alex Jones’ mission is to re-ignite the spirit of 1776 and stand as an example of the fact that one man can build a vocal media platform without the aid of big corporate news networks that only serve to compromise and dilute the core message of freedom and liberty. Jones began his career in Austin, Texas, with a live, call-in format cable access television program. In 1996, he hosted a show dubbed The Final Edition on KJFK, and the following year he debuted his first documentary. In 1999, he tied with Shannon Burke of KJFK 98.9FM for that year’s “Best Austin Talk Radio Host” poll as voted by The Austin Chronicle readers. Alex Jones is a prolific filmmaker, producing on average two films per year since his first documentary, America: Destroyed By Design, was released in 1997. KFNX was voted one of the Top Ten Radio Stations in Arizona by Ranking Arizona with over 50,000 weekly listeners. KFNX has one of the largest signals of any Phoenix Radio Station with 50,000 watts reaching almost 5 million people throughout Arizona from Sedona to Tucson and Yuma to Globe and worldwide over 1100kfnx.com. The Savage Nation with Michael Savage Returns to Independent Talk 1100 KFNX 11/5 Mon – Fri 7 - 9 p

Michael Savage created the phrase "Compassionate Conservative" when he started in radio in 1994. He has used this concept in his radio program and in conducting the first of four hugely successful Compassionate Conservative Conventions bearing that name in 1995. Savage has consistently drawn sold-out audiences to hear him live. For Savage, these words describe a "firewall of balance" that limits how far to the right his opinions go. Michael Savage was given the Freedom of Speech Award by Talkers Magazine in 2007. Savage graduated from Jamaica High School in Queens, New York then attended Queens College, in New York City where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Education. After college Savage taught high school science for several years in New York City before training as a scientist. Savage earned his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in Epidemiology and Nutritional Ethno-Medicine in 1978. Savage also holds two Master's degrees in Medical Botany and Medical Anthropology from the University of Hawaii. He spent decades searching and saving tropical rainforests. Savage is also the author of over 20 books (many on science and nutrition) including the recent political best sellers, The Savage Nation (2002), The Enemy Within: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on our Schools, Faith, and Military (2003), Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder (2005), The Political Zoo (2006), and Psychological Nudity (2008). "I guess people love my show because of my hard edge combined with humor and education," he says. "Those who listen to me say they hear a bit of Plato, Henry Miller, Jack Kerouac, Moses, Jesus, and Frankenstein. I pull many of my life experiences, including that of father, son, husband, brother, ice cream factory worker, busboy, lifeguard, writer, scientist, and my huge library of books," says Savage. He is currently syndicated on nearly 400 stations. KFNX was voted one of the Top Ten Radio Stations in Arizona by Ranking Arizona with over 50,000 weekly listeners. Independent Talk 1100 KFNX announces new afternoon drive-time time host Lars Larson 5-7PM 10/22/12

Lars got his start in radio at age 16 spinning records and reading news, sports and weather on “the Voice of Tillamook County” 1590 KTIL from a little cinderblock building on the edge of a cow pasture on the Oregon coast. 33 years later he’s only moved 75 miles to the East (Portland) . . . and light years to the “Right.” Along the way, Lars has worked for radio stations in Eugene, Spokane and currently NewsRadio 750 KXL in Portland, where he double dares station management to pry him loose. Despite friends who tell him he “has a face made for radio” Lars spent 20 years working in television as an Anchor, reporter and producer of a weekly news magazine. Much to his wife Tina’s delight, Lars has picked up more than 75 journalism awards, including a couple of television Emmy’s and a Peabody. Today, the Pacific Northwest “Lars Larson” show runs on 18 radio stations in Oregon and Washington from 11am to 3pm (pacific time). Lars takes on national topics on his Compass Media Networks show carried by 200 radio stations around the country from 6-9pm (eastern time). KFNX was voted one of the Top Ten Radio Stations in Arizona by Ranking Arizona with over 70,000 weekly listeners.
