Join the conversation weekdays at 1pm on KFNX with new host, Ron Sherman. He is live and local, discussing all of the political topics that matter to all Arizona residents.
Ron Sherman fell in love with radio before he was a teenager, and was lucky enough to get paid for doing what he loved before he was out of school. He started his career in California on the FM side spinning music. A lifelong love of politics eventually changed his radio career from playing records to going on the air to do ‘talk’. Ron has worked in radio all over the west from Fresno (KFIG), San Jose (KLIV), to Reno (KOH) and right here in Phoenix (KKNT, KOOL). In 1995, Ron left California and landed in North Scottsdale where he still lives with his wife Diane. After over 15 years in Arizona, his long and winding road led him to KFNX and a daily show from 1 to 3 pm.
Ron likes lots of variety on the air and will talk about many current issues, take callers, and interview top guests both local (Sheriff Joe, Russell Pearce, AZ Republican Party) and national (CNN anchors, best selling authors); all in two hours. “I will try not to get bogged down on one issue.”, he says. “Also if it’s not fun for me, it won’t be fun for our listeners.” He will focus on the current news events and break it down for the KFNX audience. Ron is also actively involved in Republican Politics and still a true ‘Reagan Republican’. Ronald Reagan is his hero and political inspiration. Tune in and get caught up in the action everyday on KFNX ‘News-Talk Radio’ 1100.
