KFNX 1100 has up to date reports twice an hour, and first on the air with weather warnings during the valley summer Monsoon from Weatherman – Jim Howl.

Jim Howl is from Omaha, Nebraska. He has a B.A. from Southern Methodist University, (Dallas, TX). After college he served as a disc jockey at KODY, North Platte (NE). He was the weathercaster, lottery and telethon host for KTVK-TV 3 for 24 years. While at Channel 3 he also served as weatherman for KOPA and KZZP-FM for a number of years respectfully. Jim Howl guest hosted the National Powerball Drawings, and co-hosted TV-3 ‘jackpot Bingo”. Jim was the nightly host of “The Pick” and “Fantasy Five” lottery drawings. Jim has served as KFNX ‘News-Talk Radio’ 1100 weatherman since 2004. In 1998 Jim Howl was a gubernatorial candidate for the State of Arizona. Currently Jim lives in Central Phoenix. In his free time he enjoys golf.
